A MotoGP debut for both Bezzecchi and Aprilia
The iconic Automotodrom Brno returns to the MotoGP calendar as the riders take on the Czechia Grand Prix for the first time in five years. This will be both Marco Bezzecchi and Aprilia Racing’s first outing at this level, putting the pressure on to carry on recent momentum.
They’re not going into this race completely blind, however. Marco Bezzecchi finished in sixth place in his last time out in Moto2 class, while Aprilia Racing have 25 titles to their name across 125cc and 250cc classes – the third-most of any manufacturer.
In fact, it was at the 1991 Czechosolvak Grand Prix that Aprilia Racing won their first world championship race, at 125cc. So, while neither the time nor the rider have had a chance to compete at the top level, they’ll be stepping on that track together with the belief behind them, ready to make history.
