Goddess of Wisdom and War
The warrior goddess, champion of wisdom and warfare, and daughter of Zeus - it's the one and only Athena. Rarely seen without her trusty shield and spear, Athena is revered as the protector of many cities across Ancient Greece, particular Athens where she likely got her name. Possessing great power and highly skilled in the art of logic, reasoning, and strategy, she is often cited as Zeus’ favourite child. Perhaps her victories in combat over her brother Ares and a battle of wits over Uncle Poseidon helped curry her father’s favour.
Born not of mortal flesh but from the very mind of Zeus, Athena emerged fully armored, a divine symbol of intellect, discipline, and calculated power. Unlike the chaotic fury of the battlefield, she represents the art of war guided by reason, where victory is earned through strategy rather than brute force. Revered as both a protector and advisor, Athena stood beside legendary heroes and wise rulers, offering clarity in moments of uncertainty. During the Trojan War, her tactical brilliance shaped the fate of armies, proving that true strength lies in foresight and precision.
Yet Athena is more than a warrior. She is the embodiment of logic, craftsmanship, and enlightened thinking, a goddess who masters every challenge through intellect as much as skill. Whether navigating conflict or forging peace, she remains composed, unstoppable, and always several moves ahead.
Sewing, knitting, and waging war are some of Athena's favourite pastimes, with a few games of chess thrown in to flex her brain as well as her muscles. A celebrated strategist, she would often lose herself in all kinds of research and study. Not that she was a complete bookworm – Athena's affinity for nature is seen through her associations with owls and olive trees.
Athena is known for being quick to adapt to a changing battlefield, and she brings that experience to her games which sees locked symbols reveal themselves through subsequent tumbles
Athena’s variety of armour and weapons is a sight to behold, protecting herself in glittering gold war garments. She does have a more casual wardrobe as well, however, which she likes to wear during the holidays
